Kindness Grows Here, Inc. is a local non-profit dedicated to fostering kindness in kids and spreading kindness in communities. We are located in Anne Arundel County, MD and this is our first free public event in Howard County, MD! Activities will include: An educational walk for mental health"Let's Celebrate Differences" story hours Hands on opportunities to spread kindnessFree snacks And MORE! We know that in order to be kind to others, we must first be kind to ourselves. During Mental Health Awareness month we hope you will join us for this fun, engaging, and educational event that will focus on teaching children and families how to first care for their own mental health, so that they can then help care for others (and themselves!) by spreading kindness. Did you know that recent studies show that being kind to others is one of many effective strategies to be used in helping to lessen depression and anxiety? As more and more children, teens, and adults struggle with their own mental health, Kindness Grows Here is committed to helping erase the stigma associated with addressing and talking about mental health so that we can raise a generation of children who are kinder, more resilient, inclusive, and eager to make the world a better place.
