This double-screening features two film projects centering on women, telling their stories in different forms.
Up & coming artist Kadio premieres her three-song visual EP These Things Take Time, featuring a live performance including a never performed song! These Things Take Time was co-directed by Jordan Desilva and Shana de Urioste, produced by Bailey Day. Edited by Emma Sinex featuring the cinematography of Mason Day.Baseball player Gabby Vélez tells her story in the short form documentary Making it Home, recalling times she felt she didn't belong on men's teams or even on the women's teams she had later discovered. She further describes her mission of starting her own women's team for women of color within NYC and the bigger picture of inclusivity in the sports world. Making it Home was directed by Kaylee Agnello, produced and edited by Bailey Day. Featuring the cinematography of Lorenzo Graziano. Located in the second floor atrium of the Ithaca College Business School.
