Gardening is one of those amazing activities where we can see our work come to life. We put a lot of effort into preparing, growing, and maintaining our gardens and outdoor spaces. Sometimes that effort causes us to feel pain, usually in our back, knees, shoulders, and neck.
Pain and soreness aren't choosy - whether you're new to gardening or have been doing it for a long time, it's never too late to learn and use proper techniques, postures, and tool use to help minimize and prevent pain and injury.
In this workshop, you will learn and practice techniques and postures for common gardening activities, including lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, kneeling, and digging. You'll also practice using long-handled tools safely to help avoid back, neck, and knee pain and injury.
Please wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes so you can participate in the activities.
There are two workshops scheduled on Thursday, May 25th - 1pm-2:30pm and 6pm-7:30pm. Please register for one session. If you would like to reach the organizer, please contact Gabi Murza at [email protected]
