Join us Saturday June 3rd for an epic river adventure! We will paddle the Kaw on Saturday afternoon from Eudora to to find the perfect sandbar for camping. This will be a relaxing afternoon with plenty of stops on sandbars. Once we choose our spot, we'll get set up for camping and enjoy dinner and time together around the fire. It's a FULL MOON weekend so it should be extra gorgeous. Sunday morning, we'll wake up to coffee and breakfast around the fire and more social time relaxing before paddling the rest of the way to DeSoto to get off river. What: River Kayaking and Camping When: June 3rd and 4th Gear drop on Saturday the 3rd is at 12pm - in Eudora. This will include both renters and those with their own kayaks. This way we can all get our kayaks packed for the river. Bus check in is at 1pm in DeSoto We will send a gear list but here is a start: tent, sleeping pad, headlamp, dinner, breakfast, lunch, snacks, 2 gallons of water in multiple small containers. Obviously you will need personal care items, sunscreen, and clothes :D DGA will provide: guide service, support on the water, pre-paddle to scout campsites and river safety, a ride on the Dirty Bus, fire, coffee, hand washing station and water filters in case we need more water. Tickets Regular Rental = kayak, paddle, life jacket and everything listed above = $155 Club Rental = $130 Regular OYO = bring your own everything plus everything listed above = $130 Club OYO = $110 What are you paying for? Dirty Girl Adventures, LLC will organize the event, provide a skilled and knowledgeable guide, a sweep paddler and support throughout the event. We will monitor the weather and conditions to ensure that our event and participants are safe. Our knowledgeable and informed guide service includes a leading guide and a sweep guide during the event. We are prepared to provide support including: first aid, knowledge of the environment and locale, safety monitoring, pacing, interpretive information on the environment and location. In case you are wondering about our refund policy – refunds are given up to two weeks before the date of the event only when the refund is requested in an email directed to [email protected]. After that, there are no refunds. Dirty Girl Adventures may cancel an event due to weather or conditions. Everyone will receive a refund if that is the reason for the cancellation. We will paddle and hike in cool, rainy or snowy conditions. Cancellation only occurs in severe weather or other dangerous conditions.
