On average, more lives are lost to home fires every year than to all other major disasters combined. But, collectively, we can change that.
Every second counts where there is a home fire, but working smoke alarms can cut the risk of dying in a home fire by half.
Join us on Saturday, May 13th to help install FREE smoke alarms in the Tepe Park Neighborhood. Volunteers are needed to:
• Go door-to door and speak with residents about the importance of having working smoke alarms.
• Install smoke alarms, replace batteries and teach residents how to test and maintain their smoke alarms.
• Help residents develop a fire escape plan and complete a fire-safety checklist.
*All training will be provided and teams will be designated areas to canvas.
