Create museum connections for your homeschool students by attending the Carter’s homeschool programs each semester. Explore the galleries with museum educators, get an up-close look at special exhibitions, and create your own artwork inspired by what’s on view.
Art can be a powerful tool of liberation. Explore how artists, past and present, have presented their unique views of what freedom means. Join Museum educators in the Carter’s special exhibitions Emancipation: The Unfinished Project of Liberation and Christina Fernandez: Multiple Exposures. Participants will explore art techniques while working on an artwork that examines their own ideals on freedom and creative expression led by Carter Community Artist Olivia Garcia-Hassell.
This program is designed for students ages 5 to17. Participants are asked to stay in family units with their adult caregivers for this program.
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be provided during this event upon advance request.
