New for 2023! We are thrilled to announce a new initiative in partnership with Trixie's Salon & Spa. Fems Give Back will be set up similarly to First Friday Coffee Connections. A representative from a non-profit geared towards women or young girls will be invited to speak about their organization. Coffee will be served. Tickets for this event are $10 with the option to donate more. All proceeds will be donated to the non-profitAn opportunity to donate more will be available the day of the event or via Eventbrite.Business and Non-Business Members are encouraged to attend. May Non-Proft | Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa We are thrilled to welcome Katie Vine, Director of Philanthropy, and Karly Cook, Director of Community Engagement & Advocacy to share the mission of Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. The five outcomes of Girl Scout programs are for girls to: develop a strong sense of self; display positive values; seek challenges and learn from setbacks; form and maintain healthy relationships; and learn to identify and solve problems in their communities. The four pillars of Girl Scout programs are STEM, outdoors, entrepreneurship, and life skills. As Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Girls grow courageous and strong through a wide variety of enriching experiences, and with the support of their Girl Scout sisters and adult mentors (troop leaders).
