Description

Hello to everyone that has made their way to this page. Rachel, our dancing disco queen, recently departed this Earth just after her 27th birthday. We have countless (& yet not enough) memories of dancing under electric lights with her. If you knew Rachel, you understand that she shined just as bright as all the disco balls we boogied below. Despite being a bright light in all of our lives, on Sunday, February 5th she lost her life to depression. We are absolutely devastated by the loss of her creative mind and ranch-dressing-loving spirit. If you’re reading this and did not know Rachel...that proves her impact and influence continue, even in her passing. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we extend an invitation to Rachel's "Final Disco." The people that loved her most are hosting a memorial & celebration of life, that doubles as a fundraiser for mental health advocacy and access to services. As of right now, the base goal is $3,000 to cover the cost of renting out a local San Diego venue large enough to accommodate the hundreds of folks that cherished and admired our girl. Once the goal to cover all memorial costs is met, every penny of additional funds will be redirected as a donation in Rachel’s name to charities that advocate for mental health awareness & provide funding for access to mental health services. Nobody will be required or obligated to make a financial contribution in order to attend the celebration...but of course, your donations are greatly appreciated. Regardless of your capacity to give financially, a share on social media goes further than you think. If you would like to make a contribution, you can do so via GoFundMe HERE. Please RSVP here and continue to check your email & this page for updates on location, and the "day of" timeline of events. – It's not always obvious when someone is in this much pain. If you or someone you know may be thinking about suicide, it's time to talk. Please call 988 or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741741. You are not alone.
