FOR OUR ANCESTORS, fire was the center of community, where stories were told, community issues were resolved, and people came to refocus, renew and process the events of their lives.Social Time at 7:00 - Fire to follow at 7:30 Parking: You are welcome to park along the street or pull up behind cars parked in the carport. Please do not park in space designated "Tree House Guest." This space is reserved for our Airbnb guests. Once parked, please follow fence to left of house and follow path to back hearth area. 7 - 7:30. We will begin gathering outside at the hearth area to socialize. Bring a snack to share (optional). What to Bring: A poem or story that expresses what you are currently experiencing.Water bottle.Face mask (optional).Dress for the weather; In case of rain, we have shelter.Donation to support the FIRE FUND.Please leave at home: furry friendsalcoholic beveragesrecreational/illegal drugs (not permitted on property)The Offerings: We open the Fire with a brief ceremony of gratitude in the form of offerings from an intact tradition. Once the offerings are given to the Fire, it is considered a consecrated Fire. The offerings help create a safe and sacred space for meeting and sharing, for opening our hearts to one another. Giving offerings to the Fire are optional for anyone who attends. They are a personal way to honor the evening's experience, to deepen our connection to one another and give thanks for the heart energy of Fire. RSVP is required to attend this event.
