Tuesday, May 9th 9AMArroyo Preserve Gate Join SDRVC for a scenic and educational 2-mile loop hike through the Arroyo Preserve, led by Caitlin, with staff from the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy. The hike will take place on the second Tuesday, May 9th at 9am. During the hike, we will hear about the restoration efforts that have been taking place in the area and explain how the Conservancy and many others work together protect and enhance the ecological health of the San Dieguito River Valley. You will have the opportunity to learn about the native plants and animals that inhabit the preserve and discover how they contribute to the delicate balance of the ecosystem. In addition to the educational component, this hike also offers the chance to admire the breathtaking beauty of the Arroyo Preserve in full bloom. The recent rains have brought many blooming flowers including the rare and beautiful Splendid Mariposa Lily. You will also have the opportunity to take stunning photographs of the wildflowers and other flora and fauna that make the Arroyo Preserve such a special place. This Walk n Talk is suitable for all ages and skill levels and is a great way to connect with nature and learn about the conservation efforts in your local community. We hope to see you there!
