Riparian areas - deciduous plant communities occurring near water - are ecologically diverse and provide habitat for many wildlife species. Join us to explore the habitats at the Highlands Center for Natural History, emphasizing the riparian system.
Itinerary: Meet in front of the education building at the Highlands Center for Natural History at 8:00 AM. The address is 1375 S. Walker Road, Prescott, Arizona. We may walk up to 3 miles on trails. Bring water and a snack. The walk will conclude by noon. Afterward, there will be a volunteer opportunity to work on the Schoolyard Habitat Program at Taylor Hicks Elementary School.
