Sometimes reading the Bible can seem as foreign as learning a new language. Whether it’s trying to understand new terms, places, or cultural implications, more often not, reading and studying the Bible can be exhausting. Trying to understand the Bible’s message, teaching and themes can often lead to confusion, doubt and discouragement. How do you apply what you are reading to your daily life? Where do you find a community to ask questions without feeling inadequate or not spiritual enough? At our Inaugural Study Hall, you can say goodbye to judgment and hello to encouragement, challenge, and inspiration on your spiritual journey. Study Hall is designed to equip you with the knowledge, tools, and resources you need to grow in your faith, deepen your understanding of God's Word, and experience greater spiritual fulfillment and connection with others. Questions are welcomed here, as there is no such thing as the perfect believer. Whether you are new to the Bible or have been studying it for years, you are welcomed to an interactive, fun environment to learn the Bible and have a good time. Also, you can chew gum here (we aren’t the spiritual police 😉) About your professor: Dr. Lesley Francisco McClendon serves as Senior Pastor of C3 Hampton in Hampton, VA. She holds three earned degrees in the field of practical theology from three schools, which aid her in seeing things from a variety of perspectives. Dr. Lesley is the founder of Herstoric, Inc., an emerging leadership development group for female pastors and aspiring leaders seeking to discover, recover, or refine their voices. In addition to her other responsibilities, she loves helping leaders cut through the noise of their own self doubt, find their most authentic voice and live with confidence. Witty, spontaneous, comedic, and ever-evolving, Dr. Lesley seeks to be both rooted and relevant- staying on the cutting edge, while remaining true to and standing firm upon the solid foundation of the Christian faith. She is married to Pastor Caleb McClendon, and they are the proud parents of one young son, Jackson.
