The National Day of Service 2023: Reimagining Black empowerment through STEAM focuses on: Diversifying Tech Pipeline: Tech is an industry that is moving fast and we want to empower our youth to be leaders in these career fields. Social empowerment: Building one’s autonomy, power, confidence, etc can lead to change and pave the way for a better future. This is an especially important muscle to build in our youth. Economic empowerment: The ability to participate in, contribute to, and benefit from economic growth enables one to make their own decisions, make larger investments in their health and education,and can lead to income growths. It is pivotal that youth have access to education and training that lead to their long term economic success.
