Join us for introvert happy hour! Bring a book and settle in for an evening of reading with fellow book lovers upstairs at The Globe's private event space. There is no assigned reading or discussion, so you can bring any book you like. 11 a.m. The Globe opens! Come as early as you like. 6 p.m. Join us upstairs. Fill or refill your glass, order food, say hello, and settle in 7 p.m. Quiet reading hour 8 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Close tabs and bid farewell or stick around for a while. The Globe is open until midnight. The Globe is a full-service restaurant and bar. The restaurant has waived the event space rental fee for us which is so nice of them! Please thank them by getting some food or beverages and please support your server(s). The Globe's event space has a set capacity so we have a hard limit on seats. Registration reserves your seat for this event. If your plans change, PLEASE cancel your registration as soon as possible so we can open up that seat for someone else. Silent Book Club is a meaningful experience for so many book lovers in the Athens area and we want everyone to have an opportunity to attend.
