Whether you're a native speaker or an absolute beginner, we invite you to join us in our fun and engaging conversations! Our events are absolutely FREE, and we meet every Saturday at 1 pm at the delightful Cafe Meria, located at 101 Mason St, Charlevoix, MI 49720. This airy downtown gem offers for sale a delicious selection of curated coffee drinks, matcha, brunch, croffle, smoothies/bowls, bubble tea, and even vegan soft serve. We welcome native Spanish speakers who want to practice their English skills, as well as absolute beginners in Spanish who wish to take their first steps in learning the language. Our language exchange is designed to create a relaxed and supportive atmosphere for everyone, regardless of their level of proficiency. A little about your organizer, Alan: New to Charlevoix, he studied foreign languages in college and has spent about six months in total living in Spanish-speaking countries such as Colombia and Argentina. Alan has always enjoyed attending language exchange meetups during his travels, and he's excited to bring this experience to the Charlevoix community.
