Description

Bridge the gap between mind, body, and food during this mindful sensory experience with Deonna Thomas of Good Vibes Yoga Studio and Nutritional Therapist, Kristin DePalma. We will begin by connecting to our physical bodies through meditation, movement, and breath. Dropping into our physical state and really feeling the sensations of our solid form and bringing awareness to any emotions or judgements of the self that may arise. Reminding the self, that you are not your feelings and to be kind to your mind, body, and Soul while tapping into any emotional discomfort. Finding stillness in savasana, we will allow integration and healing of the physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies through gentle rest, sound, guided imagery, and sacred energetic support. Upon awakening from savasana, indulge in a mindful eating exercise that allows you to slow down and really connect to your senses, thoughts, and emotions. After a little mindful munching, Kristin will help you to identify how your thoughts and emotions affect your relationship to food. Learn to identify triggers to emotional eating and cravings while gaining tips and skills on how to change the script around negative thinking patterns related to food and body image. This experience will offer compassionate support and healing if you struggle with any form of eating disorder, body dysmorphia, or generalized disconnect of the relationship between mind, body, and food. ***Weather permitting, we are planning to be outdoors around the fire for the entirety of class and indulging in s'mores for our mindful eating practice. Beginner to advanced yogis are welcome. Self Care Investment: $35 To reserve your spot ahead of time prepayment can be made via Eventbrite or Venmo to @GoodVibesYogaStudio. (Pay via Venmo to avoid Eventbrite processing fees!) Cash or Venmo accepted the day of class. Please RSVP a minimum of two hours before class time.
