The Colorado Brewery Running Series™ is teaming up with Q BBQ Fest Denver™ for a one-of-a-kind 5k!Join us for the Run for the Ribs 5k at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday, May 28, 2023. This unique event will kickstart the Sunday festivities at the Denver Q BBQ Fest. Thank you to our beer sponsor for the event - Breckenridge Brewery! This run, walk, and jog will circle the grounds (parking lots and stadium apron) of Empower Field at Mile High. Bands. Beer. BBQ is Back! The 5th annual Q BBQ Fest is happening May 27-28, 2023 at Empower Field at Mile High. The festival will feature 12 world-class pitmasters from around the country, serving a wide variety of delicious BBQ items including brisket, pulled pork, seafood, chicken, bison, delicious sides, and of course... RIBS! This year, the festival is fully ticketed, with two ticket options (4-hour VIP and 3-Hour GA Pit Pass). All tickets are all-you-can-eat & all-you-can-drink for the duration of your session. If you are running the Run for the Ribs 5k, you will not be able to purchase a 4-hour VIP ticket, as their entrance time is also at 11:00 am when the run starts. Learn more about the Q BBQ Fest here. Colorado Brewery Running Series Details The CO BRS mission is to be active, have fun and give back to our local community. Since our inaugural Colorado event in 2016, we have been able to donate over $120,000 back to local Colorado non-profits. This event will add to that tally! 10% of all proceeds go directly to a local organization that will be on site promoting their organization. So not only do you get to enjoy some healthy activity and great, local beer - you are helping us support local organizations that do important work in our community. Important Details This is an untimed, fun run. All levels of walkers, runners, and joggers are welcome.This is an open course, meaning roads will NOT be closed. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations.You must bring a valid ID or driver's license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the event, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. Registered, underage participants will receive a token for a FREE non-alcoholic beverage. This event is rain or shine! There will not be a bag check; please plan accordingly and dress appropriately for the weather.Parking will be on-site in Lot D at Empower Field at Mile High.Is public transit an option for you? Take the light rail to the Empower Field Station.Dogs and strollers are welcome on the course, with care and caution. However, dogs will not be allowed into the Q BBQ Fest after the run.
