Description

Erykah Badu said~ there are seasons of downloading “gathering ideas,” and seasons of uploading "[testing]new ideas”. After a 4 year hiatus from public community yoga installations, I finally feel comfortable bringing people together. I have travelled the world collecting sounds, inspiration, and knowledge that I am ready to share with my community. This is an invitation to join me as we go on a journey of collective and self exploration using journaling meditation sound baths comprised of Tibetan brass singing bowls and crystal singing bowls, collected nature sounds, gongs, and chimes to create a symphony of attunement for inner clarity. Over the last 4 years, I’ve sat most with duality. Allowing myself to be both, all, and none all at once. Allowing myself to experience joy and grief simultaneously, pouring into the unfamiliar and growing into all that I want to be. To be self-determining is the vehicle I chose in becoming free but true liberation is an ever-evolving goal and process. I often think about who I will be on the other side of absolute freedom and who else will be there on the other side. I’m shaping myself for the world I want to see- a world of fully embodied humans. 2 classes 55 minutes per monthly installment. The first session is a journaling meditation, guided meditation and sound bath offering. The second session is a beginners- intermediate full range of motion movement class with a custom curated playlist ranging from R&B, soul, rap, improvisational jazz, mantra, and advanced jazz into the space age. Both are donation based, you can choose to experience one or both but please secure tickets for both if you chose both. Donations go towards venue rental, this project's sustainability and my personal sustainability. Thank you! I'm estatic to see you on the mat again or for the first time! *An ally is anyone from a dominant or majority group that is working towards ending oppression by supporting and advocating with Black people. All accomplices are allies, but not all allies are accomplices. While an ally is willing to stand in support of Black voices, risk is rarely involved. An accomplice uses the power and privilege they have to challenge the status quo, often risking their physical and social well being in the process.
