Description

Ever wanted to learn how to decorate sugar cookies? Well, you’re in the right place! In 1.5 hours, we’ll learn how to decorate a cute and tasty tea party set. No need to worry about your skills. This class was designed for beginner cookiers and those who are just curious about sugar cookie decorating. I’ll take care of the baking and royal icing. All you need to do is show up with a smile – and maybe an apron if you decorate anything like me! Each person will leave class with three adorable cookies, a basic understanding of royal icing, plus some pretty cool decorating techniques. We’ll take pictures of your lovely work and package your cookies in a box to carry home. This class is suitable for those aged 8 and up (i.e. those who can sit on their own and follow instructions for 90 minutes) and each person will need a ticket to participate. Got kiddos at home who would love to decorate, too? Say no more! Purchase an add-on kit, which includes everything from class, including written instructions so you can teach them yourself! Read on to learn more about refunds, what to bring, class credits, and FAQs. Can’t wait to decorate with you! When & Where to Join Us This class is on Saturday, May 20th. Class begins at 1 p.m. sharp and ends at 2:30 p.m. This will give us enough time to decorate and answer any questions along the way. There will be seating for 16 people. Come with your mom, kiddo, or even someone who has been a mom to you. Either way, we’re going to have a fabulous time making joyful memories as we decorate! The class will be held at The Curious Fox Café, which is located at 1123d US-1, Lugoff, SC 29078. Feel free to park in front of or behind the building. I highly recommend you purchase a delicious cup of tea or coffee from The Curious Fox Café while you're there. They’re very tasty and will surely elevate your experience! Helpful Things to Bring While you’re not required to bring anything outside of your gorgeous smile (and maybe your appetite), there are a few things you could bring to help take your decorating experience to higher heights. • Bring an apron. Things can get messy when royal icing is around. If you decorate anything like me, you may want to grab an apron! I may have a few on hand in case you need one but I definitely want to see all of your cute designs – you know, in case I need to know where to purchase another to add to my apron addiction– I mean, collection. • Bring your phone. Nothing’s better than capturing the fun with your loved one as we decorate. Feel free to take pictures and tag Baked Joyfully in your social media posts! • Bring a great attitude. Those cute little cookies are fun to decorate (and eat!) but they can also be a bit challenging to decorate at times. A great attitude will make all the difference! Cancelation / Refund / Sick Policy My classes do not require masks. We’ll follow the current recommendation by Richland County’s government and health organizations. Class Masking Policy: While you’re not required to wear a mask during our time together, you can definitely wear one if you’d like. I’ll have some disposable masks on hand, in addition to hand sanitizer and wipes for attendees. Showing Symptoms Before 7 Days Out: If you’re sick prior to the 7-day refund cut-off, you can cancel for a full refund. We hope you feel better soon–and may we say thank you for quarantining! To request a refund through Eventbrite, follow these instructions. Showing Symptoms After 7 Days Out: For any sickness symptoms prior to your class’s start time but after the 7-day refund policy, please email me before your class’s start time, and I’ll give you a credit for the next class! My email is [email protected]. You Don't Show Up or Email Prior To Class: If I don’t hear from you before your class’s start time, and you do not show up for class, I won’t be able to offer you a refund or a credit even if you're sick. So please reach out before class if you’re feeling sick! DIY / Add-On Kits Order your sugar cookie class kit and take the class home with you to teach a child or friend! These class kits come with everything you'll use in class, and I’ll email you the directions so you can follow our step-by-step instructions from home! Cookie Class DIY Kits are created before your class. You'll pick them up and take them with you after class. How long can a kit last? Depending on how you store your icing, your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies keeps them fresh for a long time, but I recommend using your kit as soon as possible - ideally in the first week after you've taken it home. Cookies are heat-sealed for freshness – but again, use it in under a week to make sure it tastes the best. Allergen Disclaimer / Class Cancelation Policy / Weather Policy / Fees Disclaimer Allergens: Heads up – these cookies include the following ingredients: WHEAT, EGGS & MILK. Please note – these cookies are prepared in a kitchen that also bakes with common, known allergens: WHEAT, EGGS & MILK. Please consider your allergies before registering. I’m unable to accommodate dietary requests. Class Cancelation Policy: Classes may be canceled at the discretion of me, the event host. This rarely happens – but in that extremely rare event that it does, you’ll receive a 100% refund. Classes with attendance below 4 will be canceled. Don’t be sad! You can either get a class credit for a future class (along with my apologies), or a full refund! I’ll let you know if your class has low attendance 7 days before the event is canceled so that you can bring a friend (hint hint) or find other plans for that day. Weather Policy: In the event of inclement weather, I’ll contact you with options – these may differ depending on the weather event, but rest assured – we’ll figure something out! Eventbrite Fees: Your ticket price includes your ticket fees; however, Eventbrite does not refund its fees. If you cancel your ticket and request a refund prior to the cancelation window expiring, I’ll happily give you a refund less the Eventbrite fee – since I don’t get this fee back either. Eventbrite keeps it regardless of whether you show up or cancel. I know – I hate it too! About Baked Joyfully While I enjoy baking many things, cookies bring me so much joy!
