Welcome to our free, in person, parent/caregiver support group get-together! This is a place where parents and caregivers of children disabilities can come together, connect, and support one another in a safe and inclusive environment. Our get-togethers are a time for us to share our experiences, stories, and challenges with others who can relate. You'll have the opportunity to connect with other parents and caregivers who understand the unique joys and struggles that come with raising a child with disabilities. During our get-togethers, we'll provide iced tea and water. Since Mimi’s Café is kind enough to allow us to use their meeting room free of charge, we encourage you to order something else to eat or drink if you would like, but it is not a requirement to attend. Occasionally we will have a guest speaker to provide valuable information and resources or engage in a fun and creative activity that helps us to de-stress and have some fun. Mimi’s Café is located at 5090 Kietzke Ln, Reno, NV 89511 Our group is non-judgmental and supportive, and we encourage everyone to participate as much or as little as they feel comfortable. Whether you're looking to vent about a tough day, seek advice from others who've been there, or just need a listening ear, our group is here to help. Our get-togethers will be held the 3rd Sunday of each month unless otherwise posted on our Calendar of events at our webpage.
