Attend the event with TEDxJacksonville at The Jessie Ball duPont Center on Wednesday, May 3, for a broadcast of select speakers from the TED2023 Conference. The TED conference is being recorded from Vancouver, British Columbia. Thanks to The Jessie Ball duPont Fund for serving as our event sponsor and host venue. A preview of the conference from TED: Much of today’s public conversation is eaten up by zero-sum battles between divided groups. But the world doesn’t have to be zero-sum. TED2023 will explore together a strange and beautiful space called the adjacent possible. We'll be guided there by dreamers, inventors and creatives. Innovators, entrepreneurs and builders. Explorers and change-makers. Visionary thinkers and doers from every field of human endeavor. They use the power of imagination to make the world bigger, better, more thrilling, more hopeful. During this broadcast, we will show selected talks from the TED2023: POSSIBILITY. Enjoy First Wednesday Art Walk before or after the event: Held each month from 5-9 p.m. — rain or shine — Art Walk spans a 15-block radius within the Downtown core. With 30 to 40 galleries, museums, cultural venues, restaurants, bars and businesses participating each month and dozens of artists in the open-air James Weldon Johnson Park, Art Walk is the ultimate opportunity to savor and support Jacksonville's deep pool of creative talent. * We highly recommend registering and arriving early. Unclaimed reservations will be given to walk-up guests in order to fill the theater before the session begins. Register and arrive early to check-in, grab a drink, and secure your seat. Admission is $12 per person. The event will include beer, wine and other beverages. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m.  Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Show starts promptly at 6:00 p.m.
