Dropkick Diabetes was established in 2015. The annual non-profit professional wrestling event has run every year, with the exception of 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19. Every penny from the event has gone to the endocrinology department at Akron Children’s Hospital. Every year we try to bring supporters of our cause and fans of wrestling the most exciting professional wrestling show imaginable. We utilize independent wrestling talent from Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Michigan and Indiana. We also bring in former WWE, WCW, ECW, and Lucha Underground wrestlers, as well as current wrestlers performing on national television from Impact! Wrestling, NWA, and AEW. This years show will be on Sunday, July 23 and will feature former WWE superstars Val Venis, Maven, and Brian Kendrick, current NWA Women's Champion Kamille, as well as many other independent wrestlers from all over.
