The LADIES of LOTUS 50+®️ DMV (“Love Of Thyself United as Sister - Black Women Empowered”) are hosting it's 2nd ANNUAL COOKOUT at Cedarville State Forest Park on Saturday, August 5 at 2pm until Dusk. WE WILL BE LOCATED AT SHELTER 1. IF YOU MISSED LAST YEAR’S COOKOUT, YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS ONE! LOTS OF FOOD, FUN , DJ, GAMES, PRIZES, RAFFLES AND DANCING ARE ON THE MENU! (Adults 18+ only). THIS IS A GROWN FOLKS EVENT SO SPREAD THE WORD! ALCOHOL IS PERMITTED SO BYOB AND LAWN CHAIRS TOO. The park’s weekend admission is $3 per vehicle and is paid using the honor system. WALKUPS ARE ALLOWED. DIRECTIONS Come through the entrance to the park. Pay the $3.00 parking fee. It’s an Honor System so drop your cash in the box. Drive straight for about 1 mile and stop at the stop sign. You will see a sign with the various pavilions. Bear left, keep straight and follow the sign to PAVILIONS. You will see a sign to PAVILION 1. Keep straight. The paved road will turn to gravel. You will pass PAVILION 2 on your left. PAVILION 1 will be on your right. Ample parking is available. Tickets are non-refundable unless Cedarville State Park cancels/reschedules the event. Our mission is to educate, inspire and support women through life’s journey while providing an opportunity to network and build long lasting relationships. We also support our communities through annual donation drives. If you are unable to attend, we would appreciate a financial donation to help support our mission. A portion of all proceeds are donated annually to MY SISTERS PLACE, a local charitable organization supporting homeless women and children who suffer from domestic violence.
