Southside Community Land Trust's Rare & Unusual Plant Sale returns to City Farm for the 31st season! Saturday, May 20, 2023 - 10:00am - 2:00pm * Sunday, May 21, 2023 - 10:00am - 2:00pm The event will feature thousands of vegetable, herb, and fruit plants grown from organic, non-GMO seed in our greenhouse, plus hundreds of sought-after perennials. All plants are grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides to promote health and increase local biodiversity. Prices are kept low to enable gardeners of all experience and income levels to grow and enjoy their own food. The event will feature live music on both days! Admission to the event is free. Plant Sale proceeds support community gardeners and urban and rural farmers growing on SCLT-owned and managed land and fund farmer training, youth education, employment programs, and gardening and nutrition education in underserved communities in Providence, Pawtucket, and Central Falls.
