Mode on Main by Mara started as "Mara Mode Studio" in 2018 inside Mara Hair Studio. Owner and hairstylist, Jana Klavina, has always loved fashion, knowing no hair style is finished without the outfit to tie in the look together! So, shortly after the space in the hair salon freed up she had a vision for styling her clients from head to toe. As both the hair salon and boutique expanded over the years and busting at the seams, a location right around the corner became available and the boutique was moved in 2021 to what is now Mode on Main by Mara. The new space allowed them to carry more styles as well as a selection of curated accessories and home goods. Thus a lifestyle boutique was born in Old Town Fairfax: full outfits, gifts, hair, makeup, personal styling, and photography services offered. And most importantly a positive community and culture: monthly events, collaborations with local artists and small business owners, a safe space for all, and fundraisers that have raised over 50k for various charities over the years!
