Benjamin P. Ford, Ph.D. - Principal Investigator for Rivanna Archaeological Services, will lead tours of the Swan Tavern archaeological site. This is a rare opportunity to view an archaeology dig in progress, and learn from the experts what they have discovered. There will be three tours starting on the hour: 1pm , 2pm and 3pm. Space is limited for each tour, so registration is required to attend. Each tour will take 45 minutes. The tour groups will start on the Albemarle County Courthouse grounds. Look for Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society signs and staff & volunteers who will help you to find the location. Please be prompt in arriving for your tour.
