Description

The World House Project and the Camera as Witness Program invite you to a special screening of the WHP's latest short documentary, "Something to Offer" which pays tribute to the remarkable life and legacy of Coretta Scott King. As we celebrate her birthday on April 27th, we want to honor her achievements as an activist and leader in her own right, beyond her role as the wife of Martin Luther King Jr. The short documentary, created in collaboration with the MLK Freedom Center, takes a unique look at the early years of Coretta Scott King and her encounter and courtship with Martin Luther King, Jr. Through this event, we will provide insights into her tireless advocacy for nonviolence, social justice, and human rights, from her early involvement in the Montgomery Bus Boycott to her leadership of the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change. Join us for a screening and discussion with Dr. Clayborne Carson, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain further insights into Coretta's life and legacy.
