ABOUT THE ARTIST
Love has had a rich creative career and many wonderful teachers but none more important than Milet Andrejevic, who said, "never question why you are attracted to something, trust your instinct". When she puzzled how to render something, he’d say “just put down what you see". When she questioned the value of something she did easily, he'd say,"… that means you’re good at it".
Love had a retail store on Madison Avenue for 17 years which served as an atelier for her artistic creations and made a name in home and jewelry design. It was a 'go to' place for well known celebrities and high society. She became a successful author of style and design books while still pursuing her art studies and practice.
After getting a degree in art history from Barnard College, the perfect foundation for any artist, she continued to explore new techniques: sumi ink painting to make her brush strokes more expressive; palette knife painting to focus on the planes of an object and now working in collage.
Love has been widely exhibited in New York, on the East Coast and at the LA Art show and is now expanding to include the Bay Area.
