Description

Mental health first aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. It gives you the tools you need to start the conversation and provide initial support to someone experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge or crisis. This is an all-day class presented in person from 8:30am until approximately 5 pm with a lunch break that is typically 30 minutes. You may choose to bring a lunch, or plan to get to-go lunch to bring back to the classroom. You will need to create a profile and complete a couple of brief surveys before the day of class. You will be emailed instructions on how to complete these steps about 2 weeks before the class date.
