Single Parent Connection Inc., in partnership with the Men's Ministry of The Blended Church Presents: The Boys to Men Workshop Series ​ Purpose: To help young men achieve personal development and success as they transition from Boyhood to Manhood (Boys to Men) When: June 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th and July 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 10:30am -12:30pm Location: Week 1 - Outside of The Mcdonald Residence (Zip code 46268 - Address will be shared with registered participants) Weeks 2-8 - The Blended Church Community Center (2215 Country Club Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46234) ​ Week 1 - June 3rd Learning to Fish and Bar-b-Que (This workshop will be held outside of the Mcdonald residence - Zip Code 46268). The complete address will be shared with registered participants. Week 2 - June 10th Automotive Maintenance: How to complete an oil change, change a flat tire and charge a dead battery Week 3 - June 17th Identifying/Using tools and Electrical/Plumbing safety, how to use a lawnmower Week 4 - June 24th Life Skills - Shaving, how to tie a necktie, preparing for a job interview (appropriate dress, personal hygiene, etc.) Week 5 - July 9th How to tie a necktie (refresher), greeting a potential employer (handshake, eye contact, body language, etc.), mock interview practice ​ Week 6 - July 16th Self-respect and respect for others, establishing and maintaining healthy relationships, self-love and acceptance, building self-esteem - Knowing who you are and your worth Week 7 - July 23rd Anger Management and Conflict Resolution Week 8 - July 30th Financial Literacy – Budgeting, Saving, Managing Debt, Giving
