AN AFTERNOON VERNAL POOL EXPLORATION FOR FAMILIESDue to rain for our two April 23rd Vernal Pool Explorations, we decided to add a third event a week later,the afternoon of April 30th from 1:30-3:30pm, for everyone who didn't want to brave the rain on the 23rd!Join Distant Hill Gardens and Nature Trail founder and naturalist Michael Nerrie to explore a special wetland habitat filled with wood frog and salamander eggs, and perhaps even a few fairy shrimp! Every spring, vernal pools fill up with rainwater and become specialized nurseries for amphibians. We’ll spend the morning searching for amphibian eggs and other critters in the beautiful vernal pools along Distant Hill Nature Trail A great way for family members of all ages to make some wild discoveries!Space is limited and Registration is Required
