The Redondo Beach Police Department will be hosting a Catalytic Converter Theft Prevention Event on Saturday January 23, 2021. We would like to invite our Redondo Beach residents to attend our first Catalytic Converter Theft Prevention Event. This event is part of a multifaceted strategy that RBPD is employing to address the uptick in catalytic converter thefts that we have seen in the City of Redondo Beach. The RBPD has partnered with local stakeholders to host this event. All participants will have their catalytic converters etched with a unique identifying number. This etching will act as a theft deterrent. It will also provide law enforcement with valuable information should it be stolen and later located by law enforcement personnel during subsequent investigations. This event is being provided at no cost to all participants. Please sign up as soon as possible as participation is being limited to the first 80 people who register.
