Are you a military veteran or active duty military member in South Carolina who has been thinking about getting your concealed weapons permit? This class is SPECIFICALLY designed for you, giving veterans a simple and cost effective way to get their permit, and saving you a few hours of time! This class also fulfills the requirements for previously certified law enforcement officers from other states. Our LIVE IN PERSON classes have been approved by SLED. Please email with any questions. This particular class was designed specifically for military veterans, because SLED specifies that the requirements for veterans aren't as lengthy as the requirements for non-veterans, and veterans ARE NOT required to complete the shooting portion. This class will cover the basic training required to get your South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP). The class is taught by M. Scott Magaw, a law enforcement firearms instructor and SLED Certified CWP Instructor. Veterans will submit a copy of their DD214 with their application. Don't send us your DD214 - it will go directly to SLED when you apply after the class. Active duty military members will submit a copy of their military orders. WE WILL BE OFFERING THIS CLASS IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS IN SOUTH CAROLINA - CHECK THE LOCATION OF THE ONE YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR. Fingerprints will be provided for no additional fee by IdentoGo (contracted by SLED). We will talk about this in class, and send you the info once you're finished.
