Join us for the first Health Confianza Health Equity in Action San Antonio Summit, a free summit focused on leveraging health literacy education and community connection to achieve health equity for all. Together, we can continue to develop solutions and take steps that will help our San Antonio community be as healthy as we can be! For more information, visit our summit webpage. This is a free summit so attendance is limited. Please register early! What to Expect: Health Equity in Action is a one-day summit offering interactive panels, a health literacy poster show, a community art show and community conversations led by physicians, public health experts, community health workers, nonprofit leaders and others. You'll learn about innovative programs and initiatives that are taking place to improve our community’s health. Who is this Summit for: The Health Equity in Action Summit is an opportunity for students, professionals, leaders, nonprofit staffers, Community Health Workers, Promotores and others involved in public health to come together to learn, share and strengthen our health and wellness ecosystem. There will be no agency/nonprofit tabling at the Summit, but there will be tabling at the Community Event, Summer in the City (see below). FREE Parking for the summit in the Cattleman Square Lot The Summer in the City Cool Down & Wellness Festival will follow the summit from 3-7pm. The festival will be a celebration of community health and wellness, complete with a family movie night, games, music, free health screenings and more.
