NEW JERSEY – New Jersey has now released local vaccine totals and the state has expanded its list of immunization sites. (see the local breakdowns, in order, of vaccinations and immunization sites below). Gov. Phil Murphy announced on Monday that the state is launching a new dashboard on the covid19.nj.gov information hub that is reporting the vaccination numbers and identifying the list of sites providing the vaccine. Murphy is expected to address the updates during his State of the State address at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Patch will cover it live. Read more: WATCH LIVE: Gov. Murphy's State-Of-The-State Address Amid COVID Murphy said the dashboard will be updated each day with the latest numbers as of 9:30 a.m. reporting time. The dashboard is showing the numbers of vaccinations administered across each county, among other available data. As of Tuesday morning, 214,433 vaccines have been administered in New Jersey. Of those, 199,293 were first doses and 14,984 were second doses. By comparison, New York has administered more than 600,000 doses and Pennsylvania has given out more than 300,000 shots. Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli noted that a second mega vaccination site in the state opened at Rowan University on Monday, and the site will ramp up as the supply of vaccine increases. Because the demand for vaccines is currently greater than the supply, she said, the state is vaccinating only healthcare workers in the 1A category and sworn law enforcement and fire personnel from the 1B category, as well as residents and staff of the state's high-risk congregate settings. Persichilli said the state currently does not require documentation to prove eligibility. "Just you, just your most trustful part of you," she said. "We are trusting the integrity of all of you to do the right thing in this regard and not, quote-unquote, jump the line," she said. "We know everyone is anxious but we're asking for your patience as we await a larger supply of the vaccine." You can visit COVIDvaccine.nj.gov to preregister.
