Led by our Artist in Residence, Missa Coffman, this class will explore two art forms that benefit from creative spontaneity and adaptability, as well as complement each other. You’ll learn suminagashi, a japanese paper marbling technique, and several intuitive kinds of poetry, such as erasure and acrostic. By the end of the class, you’ll have six sheets of marbled paper to take home and some new poems to go on them, all made by you yourself. Missa has spent her career as an artist and educator working intuitively, and helping others to do the same. This will be held in the Culinary Kitchen at NewBo City Market. All ticket holders receive a coupon for NewBo Beer & Wine for the week of the event. No refunds or exchanges.
