Dr. Salva has a track record of proven success working with unschooled/under-schooled, multilingual learners, SLIFE (Student with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education), or ELD (English Language Development). She is an award winning educator with experience working with students in elementary, middle, and high school. Dr. Salva earned her doctoral degree from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, and also holds a Masters degree in Education Administration. This training includes: Assisting educators in the development of instructional techniques to better serve multilingual students. Dr. Salva uses current research surrounding educational growth mindset and her practical experience with SLIFE students to demonstrate user-friendly techniques helping to close achievement gaps. Her strategies both highlight and capitalize on the gifts a diverse classroom brings while also empowering these students to work at grade-level in content and ESL settings for learning.
