Houston Healthcare would like to take you on a journey down the “yellow brick road” as we discover new ways to prevent pressure injuries and learn how to bring forth wound care healing. “Somewhere over the rainbow” there lies a world with zero hospital acquired pressure injuries. Have the “courage” to step out into this world and learn new things. Use your “brain” with other healthcare professionals to discuss topics that will bring about quality patient care and have the “heart” to assure your patients are well cared for. Join us as we take this trip and Watch Out for the Wounds & Sepsis & Ostomies, OH MY! Location Information: Enter through the W3 entrance of the Roy H. "Sonny" Watson Health Pavilion and then head to the Cary Martin Conference Center This conference will include breakfast, lunch, and a vendor fair. There is a $5.00 registration fee. Registration/Breakfast/Vendor Fair: Begins at 0730 - 0800. The conference begins at 0800am. The topics will include Wound Care 101, Sepsis, Ostomy Basics, The Benefits of Undisturbed Wound Healing, and the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Wound Care.
