Join us for food, performances, awards and more! In 2022, the Alliance of Rhode Island Southeast Asians for Education (ARISE) was rooted in community, youth leadership, and advocacy for education justice. Powerful highlights include: helping establish an official city Task Force on implementing Civics Education in all RI schools, for which we were recognized as a Common Cause Champion of Democracy; starting a new ARISE chapter in Minnesota; expanding youth leadership programs by 50%; and fueling visibility for ARISE work by co-presenting with youth at regional and national conferences on the power of youth leadership. We’re excited to announce this year’s annual visibility theme, which reflects our work in 2022 and beyond: Our History, Our Rights, Our Fight. In addition to honoring our youth and allies, we will be celebrating our 6 incredible VALUES AWARDEES, recognized for their contributions and generosity to this work.
