Come join us for our free Youth Nature Walks, on April 25 , 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30am, at the UF/IFAS Extension-Orange County. Address: 6021 South Conway Road, Orlando FL 32812. The focus will be on observing natural environments to educate and inspire curiosity in our local plants and animals. The walks will take about an hour each and will be about 1 mile long, We will start the walk with an activity to help kids better learn more about the environment they are exploring. The pace will be leisurely to allow for kids to observe and ask questions about what they see. Walks will be led by two extension agents, several master gardener volunteers. At least one parent or legal guardian is required, per party. This class will be taught by Erin Reichel and Calvin Gardner, Extension Agents in Orange County, FL. We want these walks to be educational, fun, and free, so we currently have decided not to charge for tickets—although donations are appreciated. If you do not plan to come on a specific week, please be mindful to not reserve spaces for the walk that you will not be using. If the registration is full, please feel free to reach out to our team and we can work to get your family tickets for the event. When reserving tickets for this event, please only reserve tickets for each child coming. Parents or legal guardians are required to attend for each party, but they do not need to be included when reserving tickets, thank you. FREE. Pre-Registration is required along with the non-refundable class fee, if any. All ticket sales are final, no refunds. Cancellation policy: Classes are subject to cancellation if a minimum number of attendees are not booked. If class is cancelled you will receive a notification, and a refund confirmation to the e-mail that is provided during the registration process.
