MULCH MULCH MULCH! It's that time of year! We'll continue mulching the pathways and edges in the top lot garden. We'll also do some weed-whacking and bed preparation. We'll have greens and herbs. As always there is compost to mix and turn. We are especially looking for people who enjoy shoveling and pushing a wheelbarrow! We will have other jobs that can be done seated as well. All abilities welcome. *There may or may not be a bathroom available. We are so sorry for the uncertainty and the inconvenience. We understand if you have to leave early. The food in the Collective Garden at Toplot is grown directly for the people like you who use their time and energy to plant and maintain it, as well as for Food Rescue Baltimore. The Collective Garden is a co-learning space, so if there is something you want to know more about please ask! We also hope to learn from you and your experiences in the garden, the forest, or otherwise. Please bring drinking water. We provide tools, gloves and a hands washing station. Please bring a bag or something to take veggies home if you can. LOCATION: Meet at the the Collective Garden at "Top Lot" on the corner of Everhart and Yeager streets, up the hill from Ash Street along the Yeager alley. If you drive, just park on Ash Street near the 3510 Ash Street warehouse. The Woodberry light rail station is a 5 minute walk, and the nearest bus stop is 36TH ST & FALLS RD wb . From HOWARD ST & NORTH AVE nb take #94 Sinai Hospital bus to 36TH ST & FALLS RD wb. Walking directions from the bus stop: cross Falls Road and continue along 36th street past Roosevelt Park and Recreation center. You'll also pass by another community garden there. Keep going past the school downhill a few more blocks to the end of 36th street where it meets with Ash street at the bottom of the hill and turn left. You'll see 3510 Ash Street on the right, and you'll see gardens across the street.
