Registration begins at 9:00AM and course will begin promptly at 9:30AM This full day program will cover many aspects of Pediatric Surge. How do you manage surge within your organization when there is nowhere to transfer your patients. What unique resources can be utilized to manage an unmanageable circumstance. How does your Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) address pediatric patients. Identify what is necessary components for Reunification of families, always a challenge; we will review current best practices for conducting this difficult process as well as non-custodial releases. Identify key components of your EOP to address pediatric concerns: Behavioral Health of the pediatric patient in a disaster, Children with Special Healthcare needs, recovery and resiliency of your pediatric program, COOP for pediatric patients, support and security of the pediatric patient, legal and ethical considerations for the pediatric patient – Crisis Standards of Care. What should your training and evaluation process look like for your pediatric disaster program.
