We are excited to offer our first floral workshop of the spring in partnership with the Chicago Athletic Association! We welcome anyone who is curious and has a love for flowers, no prior experience required. We will supply you with an assortment of fresh local flowers and greenery, along with a vase and all the tools needed to assemble a cute tabletop bouquet, just in time for Mother's Day! We will spend time talking about different shapes and designs of bouquets, how to pick the perfect flowers, extending the life of your bouquet, and sustainability practices to incorporate at the end of your bouquet’s life, such as composting, drying your flowers, making natural dyes, and casting flowers in resin. Light refreshments and drinks will be provided. Participants will leave the workshop with basic knowledge of how to assemble a small to medium sized tabletop bouquet in a vase and a flower care / sustainability zine. Each participant will have the opportunity to be photographed with their final bouquet, which we’ll share on social media after the event!
