The Girls' Entrepreneurship Summit is an annual 5-week program that empowers young women and fosters the next generation of future female entrepreneurs. Participants work and learn alongside leading innovators and industry leaders from the community, developing the skills and knowledge necessary to launch a small business in Iowa. Curriculum includes business model canvases, marketing strategies, pitch decks, budgeting, and introduction to basic legalities. The program culminates in the Day of Innovation during which students celebrate their accomplishments and pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges while competing for cash prizes totaling $10,000. We are pleased to invite you to our annual Day of Innovation event celebrating the culmination of the Girls’ Entrepreneurship Summit. Eat, drink and be merry as we announce the winner of the pitch competition, officially bestow Pi515’s Community Awards, and recognize all those who made this program a success. Dr. Yen Verhoeven will deliver the keynote. Light refreshments and drink tickets will be provided. A cash bar will also be available.
