The Iowa City Bike Library, Burr Oak Land Trust & Johnson County Conservation are teaming up to bring you a Women/Trans/Femme Bike Touring adventure. We will be biking from the Bike Library to Corriell Nature Preserve, kayak, and there will be plenty of conversation around conservation. Mark your calendars: June 3/4
This event is inspired by a larger movement towards gender inclusivity and racial equity in cycling and the outdoors.
All you need to start bike touring overnight is three things:
a bikea way to carry some gear (rack and pannier)and a love of adventureHere is a more extensive list of bike touring/packing gear, and if you only have a few things on this list–that’s OK! You gotta start somewhere and we are here to help.
June Bike Tour to Corriell - 30 miles out, 30 miles back
Tuesday, May 30th 6 - 8 PM: Optional pre-ride meet up at W/T/F Night-come with questions! We encourage you to come to at least one WTF Night (we are here every Tuesday 6 - 8) with questions.
Saturday, June 3rd 11 AM: meet at the Bike Library for a 30-mile ride
Sunday, June 4th 10 AM: pack up and return to Iowa City
