Taneyhill's Group Therapy wants to welcome you to the first annual Taco Therapy event in support of a local Columbia charity, MIRCI. Held on the Saturday before Cinco de Mayo, this taco battle takes place on Greene Street and Pavillion Avenue in Five Points and is free to attend. The festival runs from 12pm-8pm and features up to (27) different taco teams competing to make the ultimate taco. In addition to the taco competition, guests can enjoy live music, drinks, and other activities such as tie dying shirts, balloon art, and face paint. Approximately 4,000 attendees are expected to join, including children, families, college students, and senior citizens who share a love for tacos, live music, and therapy. Teams can enter the festival grounds beginning at 10:30am and will serve one taco at a time to each donating customer ($2 minimum donation) starting at 12pm and concluding at 6pm. Judge tasting will begin at 1:30pm. We are asking that each team be prepared to serve 300-500 servings of their taco. Although we will have a prep-tent available, we encourage teams to prepare their taco ingredients prior to arrival.
