You are invited to join the Grace Browning Unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians for an interactive workshop to learn basic parliamentary procedures on Saturday, April 29th at 9:00 a.m. at Lawson State Community College. Basic Parliamentary Procedure Workshop April 29th at 9:00 a.m. - noon Lawson State Community College, 1st Floor of the ACATT Building 3060 Wilson Rd, Birmingham, AL 35221 If you are a member of an organization or board or if you want to make your meetings more effective, this workshop is for you. You will leave with a basic understanding of parliamentary procedures and tools for running an effective meeting. The goals of parliamentary procedure are to protect the rights of the minority, maintain the rule of the majority, and promote the most efficient proceedings, and all members should have a working knowledge. Registration and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. Workshops will begin at 9:00 a.m. Registration is $5.00. Payments can be made at the door (cash or check ONLY).
