Description
Are you ready?!? Join us for our June’s quarterly half day retreat - Cocooning For Growth Unplugging from the hurry and flurry and do-do-do we get caught up in will be enhanced by the beautiful setting at Muskegon’s P.J. Hoffmaster State Park. Kaleidoscope Affect is teaming up with local Happy People Hike co-owner, Alison Glowinski, for this half-day retreat. As we talked through what it looks (and feels) like to cocoon as individuals, it only made sense to collaborate with someone who’s familiar with the ebbs and flows of personal transformation. Someone who recognizes and models the importance of not entertaining every thought and opportunity that hits their radar so they can rise to the objectives they’ve so intentionally plotted out. Join us as Alison guides us back to ourselves, as we get in touch with our inner knowing, embrace the space it takes to lean into what’s on the other side of this season, and immerse ourselves in the connection and grounding nature has to offer. She’ll do this through a slow, immersive hike where she teaches us how to slow down, get quiet and connect internally while connecting with nature. She’ll be leading us through some grounding practices and walking meditations, while sharing the magic of talking to trees (yes, we’ll be talking to trees!). As we move through the day, we’ll help you acknowledge, talk through, and navigate the thoughts and emotions that come up. You’ll want to bring something to journal or take notes with (no technology, please) as you lean into self-reflection and chart your next course. As much as we’ll be guiding you through the experience, we’ll also have time during the day to sit and reflect in order to understand, embody, and process who we are, as well as who we’re becoming. Get ready to embrace the cocoon, to practice the inner reflection that will facilitate your next best self, embrace and lean into the space that’s needed for your personal growth. P.S. Day of, you’ll want to wear appropriate clothing and shoes for walking in nature. There won’t be any extensive, intensive hiking but we will be outside for the entire time. Bring a small snack if you’d like, along with water or something to drink for this slow-paced day. Individuals are responsible for their own transportation to and from the destination.
