Fundraiser Breakfast: Sending a Volunteer to Lobby Congress on Climate

Mickey Rogers is a very active young member of the Tri-Cities Citizens Climate Lobby chapter who is committed to going to Washington DC to attend and participate in the CCL June Conference and Lobby Day. Mickey was active in the CCL chapter in Columbus OH during graduate school, and then moved to the Tri-Cities in September to join the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as a Linus Pauling Postdoctoral Fellow. She has already participated in two remote meetings with congressional staff, organized our Climate on Tap event in January, has led the organization of the Tri-Cities Earth Day event, and is the CCL co-liaison to Senator Maria Cantwell. She’ll learn a lot from the CCL Conference and will represent us well in face-to-face meetings with the staff of Senators Cantwell and Murray and Representative Newhouse. To help cover her transportation, lodging and conference costs, we've scheduled a pancake breakfast at Applebee's Grill + Bar in Pasco. Half of the cost of a breakfast ticket will go toward Mickey's travel expenses.
