Description

Alicia Houk is the founder and gardener of the Wild Garden Alliance. She teaches people who want/need to help reverse wildlife declines, how they can transform their yards into beautiful, thriving habitat, so they can reconnect with nature at home, and sleep better at night, knowing their gardens are providing much needed sanctuary to the creatures that visit their yards (all while sequestering carbon and building climate resilience). Alicia has a master’s degree in pollination ecology and has been designing and installing native pollinator and bird gardens for the past seven years, and teaching in the environmental science field for over a decade. She also writes the native gardening blog, A Wild Garden at www.awildgarden.com This event is part of a three-part series of workshops on Gardening for the Earth, hosted by Sustainable Woodstock. Rain Date: Friday July 7th, 5:30-6:30 PM.
